Audi UK's Blog
Audi UK Description:
Welcome to Audi UK's Audi Centenary blog on Toy Collector.

Join us as we mark Audi's 100th birthday with a journey through the company's history, from the pre-war period right up to today - in model form! Each week from now until July, we'll be looking at the cars which defined the marque, and their diecast counterparts. Along the way, we'll meet the stunning Auto Union Grand Prix cars of the 1930s, the giant-killing Quattro, the stylistically-groundbreaking 100 Avant and the muscular R8V10, among many others!

All models featured in the blog will be up for auction in the Toy Collector forums, with proceeds going to the Helen & Douglas House, providers of hospice and respite care for children and young adults.

For more information about the full range of model cars available from Audi, please visit www.audi.co.uk/merchandise.

quattro is 30!

Posted by Audi UK in quattro 30th AnniversaryCars

It's hard to believe, but Audi's quattro system is 30 years old this year.

While most of Audi's racing limelight has fallen on the all-conquering R10 TDI Le Mans racer of late, that particularly-glamorous series is far from being the only field where Audi competes today.  The previous racing-focused blog entries have showcased the Auto Union Silver Arrows and the

Posted by Audi UK in The Audi CentenaryCars

By the 1980's, Audi's front-wheel-drive had helped drag Auto Union back into postwar prosperity and saved VW from its over-reliance on rear engines. But however famous Audi front-wheel-drive had become, something even more legendary was about to come out of Ingolstadt - the quattro
