Created as a forum for all those who share a common interest in toy cars, Tales of Toy Cars has published as a webzine since 1998, specifically focusing on 1/55-1/72 scale models.


Now, with the advent of Web 2.0, it's here on Toy Collector as a blog, allowing for easier interaction between the writers and their readers, and rolling updates! As ever, comments and contributions from readers are welcome!

3D Puzzle Chevy Bel Air

3D Chevy Bel Air PuzzleThis be a 3D puzzle of a 1957 Chevy BelAir. Its one of my most favorite US Cars and so was lucky to get this particular 3D puzzle on my birthday a few years ago. Its made out of foamrubber pieces with the car printed on it on one side. The instructions are easy to follow, however, its not always easy to follow instruction to the letter. I found I had to improvise a little to get the same result.

This is a miniature made by Corgi of a CIE Scammell. CIE is(was) the Irish state-owned transport company. The vehicle actually exists and is on display at the National Transport Museum of Howth, Ireland.
